#OTD-ish Wednesday 31 January 1968 James Wilson, Morrisanne Jenkins and Ronald Pynell (above from left to right), students at DC Teachers College (2565 Georgia Avenue, NW), attended a concert at Constitution Hall (1776 D Street, NW). The faculty at DCTC wanted to instill in students a love for music. They fostered this by encouraging students to go to concerts and building it into the curriculum through a Music Appreciation class.

Perhaps they attended the National Symphony Orchestra's sold out concert featuring David Oistrakh, a violinist and violist from the Ukraine. The NSO was in residence at Constitution Hall.

Please comment below. Were you a student at DC Teachers College? Do you remember WIlson, Jenkins and Pynell? Did you teach there? Do you remember going to concerts at Constitution Hall? You may comment privately here.
