#OTD Wednesday 10 April 1968 The Washington Senators baseball team played the Minnesota Twins at the DC Stadium (2400 East Capitol St, SE). The game was originally scheduled for Monday 8 April but was postponed due to the uprising. It was rescheduled for Tuesday 9 April. However, after the funeral for Rev. Dr. Martin Luther, King, Jr. was changed to Tuesday, the game was rescheduled for today.

The Senators lost 2-0 to the Twins. There were 32,000+ in attendance for the 2pm game that lasted 2 hours. (The stadium capacity was 45,000.)

Your comments are welcome below. Did you or family members attend the game? What do you remember about the game? Was it different from other games? Was there police/National Guard presence? Did you watch on tv or listen on radio? What do you remember about DC Stadium (RFK Stadium)? You may comment privately here.
