Take part in a historic gathering of alumni of The New Thing Art & Architecture Center—a cutting-edge community-based arts and urban planning organization that operated in Adams Morgan from 1966-1973—for a film screening and panel discussion. The New Thing founder—filmmaker, architect, and activist Topper Carew—will be joined by former staff and students for a discussion led by curator Samir Meghelli about the history and impact of this legendary DC institution.
